Our Location

Port Hueneme is located on the south central coast of California, 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 50 miles south of Santa Barbara. Neighboring communities include Oxnard, Ventura, and Camarillo.

Transportation: "Within Reach by Land, Air, and Sea"
Port Hueneme is home to the only deep-water commercial harbor between Los Angeles and San Francisco with U.S. Customs Port of Entry and Foreign Trade Zone designation.  Pleasure craft may dock at the Channel Islands Small Craft Harbor within one mile of Port Hueneme or the Ventura Harbor six to seven miles away.

Rail
Port of Hueneme on-dock rail service is provided by the Ventura County Railway Company, interconnecting to the Southern Pacific Railroad. Metrolink commuter service to Los Angeles and Amtrak passenger service throughout the continental U.S. connect in neighboring Oxnard.

Roads
U.S. Highway 101 and Highway 1 traverse within 5 miles of Port Hueneme, providing important transportation links to metropolitan Los Angeles. Public bus service is available through VISTA and South Coast Area Transit. Western Greyhound operates out of the Transportation Center in neighboring Oxnard.

Air
Oxnard Airport (6,000 foot runway), three miles from Port Hueneme, offers commuter service, charter planes, and helicopter transport. Santa Barbara (45 minutes), Burbank (65 minutes), and Los Angeles International Airports (75 minutes) are located within 90 miles of Port Hueneme.
